No idea man..you cant judge a book by its cover. But its still ironic though..Originally posted by OPT:Does he even work out?
i am moving on to bodybuilding by year end or so..Originally posted by Marco_Simone:For size gains, you might wanna try hypertrophy specific programs such as HST and Max-OT.
There's nothing wrong with BB...seriously,we usually say "you need to have the strength to back up your size". Equally important is "you need to have the size to back up your strength." Coz no people gonna give a sh-it about how much you bench if you dont look it.Originally posted by galapogos:Aww, Simon, you moving over to the dark side! How can! Haha...I actually moved over from bodybuilding-ish workouts(classic bodypart splits) to a more strength oriented program. In fact, my first program was Max-OT, but I didn't gain much from it. I gained a lot more on 5x5 before my injury set in...
Anyway, here's my bench video done just now at opt's gym. [email protected].

Might need to wait a few minutes coz I just uploaded it.
You are using too heavy a weight from the bouncing I see.Originally posted by galapogos:Yeah I was just dissing him, since he has been giving BBers a hard time...relax
Anyway, after reviewing my bench, a couple of things I need to improve on.
Foot placement. I'm externally rotated, I think my feet should be aligned more parallel to the bench.
Bar bouncing off the chest - Seems that way in the video, but didn't feel that way when I was doing it. I need to keep an eye on that.
I'll wait for opt to come tell me what else is wrong. He certainly gave me a good reason to stfu after today's killer workout
The lowering of the weight is controlled which is good...Usually bouncing is associated with just letting the bar drop instead of controlling the lowering...Originally posted by galapogos:Yes, I know about the bouncing. It's one of my bad habits that I gotta change. Also need to activate my lats more at the bottom position to get it out of sticking point at heavier weights, among other things. But this isn't the heaviest I've done. I just tend to forget about the bouncing when nobody tells me. Thanks for the comment though.

If you find yourself looking relatively untrained even if your weights are going up,then you need to switch to more of a BB routine.
