When you can provide this then we can give you some guidelines
been training since start of 2006 ba....i hate to ask this but wads the problem behind my workout? Too much exercises? Redundant exercises? My workout does include essesntials like benching, deadlift, rows, push n pull workouts.Originally posted by OPT:one more question I should have asked was age and how long you been training. Also how many days a week you training? I'll guess 3.
As far as the training program is concerned - forget about training muscle groups - train movement patterns.
What you are currently doing does "suck" so dump it quickly.
Day 1 (eg. Monday)
A1. Squats
A2. Bent Over Barbell Rows
B1. Static Lunge (Split Squats)
A2. Weighted Chins
Day 2 (eg. Wednesday)
A1. Deadlifts
A2. Bench Press
B1. Romanian Deadlifts
B2. Military Press
Day 3 (eg. Friday) - Repeat Day 1
Alternate between A1 & A2, B1 & B2
Workouts 1,2,5,6,9,10
Sets: 3-4
Reps: 5
Tempo: 3-0-1-0
Rest: 60-90 sec
Workouts 3,4,7,8,11,12
Sets: 2-3
Reps: 10
Tempo: 2-0-1-0
Rest: 30-60 sec
Just a basic program - without a full assessment I am just guessing but this is better than what you were doing.
Why don't you provide a logical scientific reason behind what you have been doing then we'll talk.Originally posted by borntolive:been training since start of 2006 ba....i hate to ask this but wads the problem behind my workout? Wads wrong with training specific muscle grps? It allows me to focus on specific muscle grp wad...In fact i work out 2-3 muscle grps per workout day wad...
I have only 2 days to workout with occasionall an extra day. The extra day is for leg exercises

i read lots of articles regarding spilts n they seem logical ... regarding yr style of workout, doesnt mixing exercises for diff parts of body make gains harder since u arnt focusing on something?Originally posted by OPT:Why don't you provide a logical scientific reason behind what you have been doing then we'll talk.
The fact the you do legs just when you can fit them in speaks volumes.
Why dont you try the above workout for 4 weeks and see what happens.
If you think you are up to the challenge come in and I'll take you through it the way it is should be done - and see if you can handle it.
