First of all, No lifting weights does not reduce your height. This is a common misconception many people make. I will exaplain why.
For guys, our puberty ends around 21. Assuming that you are genetically only able to grow till 180cm. You start training at the age of 16 and you realise your height is stunned, you are basically NOT EATING ENOUGH!
When you lift weights, you tear many muscle fibres. These torn fibres are repaired and allowed to grow with good and rest. Your body puts priority on repairing this torn muscle fibres. Therefore, if there comes a situation when you ain't eating enough, something elsewhere will be sacrificed. One e.g will be your overall growth.
I encourage everyone who are interested in weightlifting either to build up or tone up to follow this three golden rules.
Eat enough, Take plenty of rest, and always make sure you are carrying weights the correct way!
