Though I do remember I once jaywalked carrying a bag full of contraband, and suddenly realized (when I had already jaywalked to the middle of the street) that right there a couple of meters away from me, was a police patrol car.
The two cops inside were staring right at me, and I just stared back (mostly out of shock) and continued jaywalking to the other side, carrying my bag filled with contraband.
Fortunately, that was the end of the matter. -
