yes, I kinda agree with originick. In my opinion, power stroker would be a very successful style to adopt competitively. Not only does it generate more rev compared to a stroker, it is also a more consistent style as compared to a cranker. However, I also feel that one should learn to crank first before he could better appreciate the style of a power stroker.
Er,...well I kind of agree with your point. However, note that not everybody physically can even catch that release timing. It is pretty injury prone if you over do it, or worse still; do it wrongly.
