are you not concerned if words gets around... whoever this person you are talking about will seek legal action? Based on your profile.. you are quite young at age 20.... right? But you sound like someone who has been bowling for many years. wow.. this mean you have been bowling when you are still in school. If you have been bowling for years... I guess you should know there are always crap story from many LOUSY bowlers who always blame the lane, blame the drillers, blame the guys next to him.... but never blame themself for being a lousy bowlers. This is how rumours started,too.
Can you details further your personal experience with this proshop? Or was this a rumours again? -

Know how to bowl does not mean I must know how much the pro shop should retail. Can this be contradicting? Anyway, You claim that pro shop shouldn't retail at $350 for a high end ball. So on what ground it is that you make this statement since you don't operate one. and to answer ur question why brunswick is more expensive.. u said tat ur friend in states told u tat brunswick is enomical brand there.. he is rite ah.. in states brunswick is enomical.. but u are in singapore.. is a different story.. u bowling for 15 YEARS u dunno brunswick ball is slightly expensive than other brand in singapore? even target zone a polyester ball is more expensive than other brands polyester ball..
as u say lane1 ball.. there is not many ppl using the ball in singapore compare to any other brand.. there are alot of ppl complaining abt lane1 ball prices.. i guess u didnt hear any only..
and i would like to clarify something.. i did nt post any NEGATIVE comment abt any pro shop.. in tis thread we are only comparing price.. u hav ur rights to choose which shop u wan to buy from and we can also provides some info abt wat other shop can provide and the price they offer.. like tat u say is NEGATIVE comments? wat is a positive comment? can u specific?
Agreed, So Brunswick ball here price higher than most brand locally. That's call branding strategy in basic marketing term. So do you accept that you should pay a higher price for its product? The choice is entirely yours & it don't bordered anyone.
Ya of course there are people who commented (Not complaint..lol) on Lane#1 retail price. But there are still peoples who can afford it. Complaint? To which department.....you mean CASE? for retailing at $400+......
You earlier commented that "now then sell at this price when others were selling it when its first launched here." Is this positive? Why you care when they want to sell at what price at what time. It seem that its bordering you very much. Is this the way to compare price? Example of comparing price can be done by saying using one particular product & say 1 selling $? 2 selling $? and so on. Then it will be more informative to us.
The thread starter merely started this thread to share information with us on offer from this pro shop thats all. Do you need to pass such remarks if you are not interested. So, why do we need to behave so offensive. If you dislike someone then, have guts to face him and say right into his face rather then going around forum defaming others. Be careful, it may get you into trouble. -

Sadly, I guess bowling is not for people like you & debowl. In the first place, it has never been a cheap sport. Frankly, with you guy's lousy attitude, I am very sure you will never make it.
So I suggest you want to consider sports like swimming. Its free at east coast park & furthermore no need to border about after sales service....etc. Another one possible sport for you guys...........try kite flying.

All I was doing was advertising the price that I saw and I thought it would be good to share with everyone the new pricing.
Whether the shop sold it at a higher price before is really IRRELEVANT!
You have to option to go get from the shop or not.
STOP all the criticism. It is not helpful. If you want to provide criticism, make sure it is constructive.
If I were able to, I would either lock or delete this posting. Unfortunately I can't.

I think you misunderstand me here. I don't defend anybody but just want to be neutral. We should learn to respect one another when we speak. Give others the benefit of doubt, we may not know the actual story behind it. If you have a bad experience once doesn't mean you should go around bad mouth others. What do you gain in return? And does this makes you a better person than they are be it what you claimed is true or not?

You are issuing a very personal challenge here. Again, what are you trying to prove? If you have a problem with him, why don't you go settle with him personnally? Stand up and be a man to face to face with him. I believe whatever bad experiences is all about miscommunicating. It may you unknowingly......or maybe its him unintentionally?

So now you involve more pro shops. We all have our good and bad experiences. Don't you agreed that these experiences will prepare you better in the future should you face the same situation again? Can't we just learn from it instead of making a fuss out of it?
I personnally have heard in a pro shop when I was making a purchase. A man walk in & make a general enquiry on ball price. When the operator offered him a range of 100+ to 300+. The man got angry and shouted at him "Why so expensive???" How do you expect the operator to reply in this situation? Or rather, if you are in his position, what will you do? Relax bro.....[/b] -

1st of all .. am curious why Sam must specially single out this pro shop & comments on its selling prices. There are SO MANY pro shops & their prices are quite similar or same to one another. Only minority are selling at a more lower prices. Therefore what purpose does it benefit to specially name / contempt this proshops? its seems like a personal attack more then a general remarks. If you wanted to share cheap & goods products.. it can be constructive. Such as where & so & so are having good prices. Right?
Suggest since you claim you know Andy.. why dont you be more upfront & approach him to clarify matters. Instead of continueing this stupid discussion. It is good to share where you can get good for value products. But its never good to start on something sensitive such as this fellow "lousy" or "expensive". Comparing will always be a endless subjects. I am sure you do not like it if your bosses start comparing you & outright criticising you are not good in front of all your colleagues. Or your girlfriend start to compare you with their ex's.
