If I am not wrong, this ball was launched in the USA sometimes in JULY 07. And the pro shop in Tampines was selling it in early August where no other pro shop in Singapore selling the same ball untill September.Originally posted by samchia:wah now than sell at this price is quite ex already.. other pro shop was selling at this price when the ball juz released in singapore.. by the time the shipment comes to singapore i think the ball become old already and new balls will be out very soon..
haha well as u say is true.. i usually get balls tat is first landed in singapore thru airOriginally posted by Armadillo:If I am not wrong, this ball was launched in the USA sometimes in JULY 07. So it makes no diff if the ball was purchase in Sept or Oct both are old ball anyway like you say. Unless you got it when it first landed here thru air.
I understand the 280 price range was a promotional price for the distributors to clear their stocks. Once they've finnish with it.......there will be no more of this ball you will see.
IMHO, I think it is not just about cheap priced balls. The service, the ability of the pro shop to drill the ball for you all play a part. I think it is a matter of preference. Personally, if I trust a shop or service provider, even if I have to pay a higher price, I would still go to that shop or service provider. Money is important, but peace of mind is more important. At least that is my opinion. Don't flame me ok?Originally posted by samchia:haha well as u say is true.. i usually get balls tat is first landed in singapore thru air
if i nt mistaken the shop i guess bring in the ball thru parallel importers i guess and tats y the price was like so high at $350? i think is quite dumb to get a ball at $350 where u can juz get it at $280?
tat i agree.. drilling of ball is abt individual preference..Originally posted by richieleo:IMHO, I think it is not just about cheap priced balls. True, but would you know then if that particular ball will be selling much lower price in 2 months time. So if you usually get the ball that is first landed here, then you shouldn't be complaining about the premier.Originally posted by samchia:haha well as u say is true.. i usually get balls tat is first landed in singapore thru air

Sadly, no pro shop here is selling it at the moment.Originally posted by samchia:Any balls that first landed would nt be selling at so high price.. u can go all the shops and check.. there is nth to do wif the premier or watever..

What's the price complete with mapping, drilling, slug & insert?
Should I be looking at around $300 or less? Since you confirm that first landed ball would not be selling at so high price?
Hm....you seem to know this industry very well. Appreciate your guidence.

u most welcome....no prob ya!Originally posted by Armadillo:Thanks apple, I decided to purchase it from my regular pro shop if it cost slightly more than the rest.
To me, price is not really a big issue. What is important is that the driller is knowledgable & he's able to work closely with me & of course good before & after sales services.
I've been bowling for more than 15 years & tried many pro shops before to purchase my equipments. No need to comments or talks about my numerous past experiences be it good or bad.
My point here is simple. Here we share bowling tips, knowledge & anything that we can help each other. Try as much as possible not to pass negative remaks/comments around. Others have their rights too.

Why it is brunswick is higher compare to other brand here? My bowling friend in state told me that brunswick is actually the most enomical brand there. Hmm.....that's strange
Ya, that's why I am asking for your guidence to find out more about the price since you said that it shouldn't be selling at such "high" price. The shop that I went to is selling abt $330 which is fine with me. You may not be interested to make purchases there since price is your main concern.
I am just curious that how you justify & reassurre that high-end ball shouldn't be retail at $350??? There are ball selling at $400+ locally......I think is Lane#1. Well, still a lots of bowlers buy. I have never heard any of them complaint about the price.
In summary, I think it is very individual to one's percieved as far as price is concerned when you make comparision. What is unreasonable to you may not be unreasonable to others. I believe is each to his own as far as he believe & have trust in it.
So I guess we shouldn't be making negative remarks about what the pro shops here retailing their balls at what price. Remember, you have your choice to choose & make purchases.
Maybe you like to share your experience. And how you guage that their price is 20-30% higher than others. Just curious, what ball did you buy from them?Originally posted by debowl:tampines that proshop? that owner always mark up prices 20-30% !!
his after sales services is damn lousy! heard lots of comments on him!
surprise this time around he is selling such a price!
