Looking for bowling coach

  Hi all,
  
  When I was really young (pre teens) I used to bowl pretty often. Now after 25 years, I have decided to pick it up again.
  
  I want to do it properly so I am looking for a good bowling instructor. Can anyone recommend one?

  Go to nearest bowling centre, tell them you have lots of $$ , your father is very rich and ask the Uncles there for coaching.

  Thanks for the comments but I am really looking for some help here. Price of the coaching is really not relevant just someone that is fairly reliable. I am not aiming to be a pro. Just to improve my game and be taught the right stuff.

  hi, from what i know, u can go to any bowling centre and check with the staff if they have any coaches available... usually most centres do organise training as a form of revenue...
  most prob they will organise as a grp training, and cost will be kept lower, compared to 1-to1 private training.
  
  but if u are taking it up casually, maybe some of us here can help u in our free time

  I dun know how to determine a good bowling instructor...personally i feel if you are comfortable from the way he coach should be consider good instructor...if you are keen, u can go to any bowling centres, i am sure there are flyers on bowling lesson...do check it out..
  
  If u are looking at a goup for 4pax for 2 hrs approx..$20. If 1-1 coaching is approx $30-$35 for an hour, exclude game fees.

  Sorry. Have been travelling. Just got back.
  
  I am quite serious. My average now is about 120-130. I want to improve my game so that I can consistently bowl about 170-190.

  I can guide you for free, but you gotto buy me Tea, Kopi, Roti and pay for my game money (Joking Oni)
  
  To get to the ave. you desire the secrets is in the "Spares"
  
  If you bowl a straight ball, yr chance of having splits is higher than other any styles, simply bcoz when yr ball go so straight that when it hit da pin, they all fall backwards and do not deflect or carry to either L/R.
  
  Hence if you are serious, do consider to pick up a proper technique.
  
  I started with Straight(Few months) to learn the basics, then Spin(Made it to 300 after 10 years) and Hook(Still learning and its quite fun).
