For the most part, timepieces have traditionally displayed time in only one of two ways. The classic analog display, which uses hour and minute arms to display time, or the more modern digital display with the time typed out on an LCD screen.
Nooka watches aim to break from these limited time displays and have taken a new and creative approach in displaying time.
Created by Matthew Waldman, Nooka watches display time in a manner more akin to how we experience time. The solid graphic representation of time with Nooka watches more closely matches our perception of time, with time gradually moving forward in a linear fashion. As the visual mass of the display increases as time passes, it gives a sense of weight and volume to time, which is simultaneously an intuitive yet highly abstract concept.
