Not so evil lah. Probably will be upgrading the security software, patching up and all. Diploma only, so don't expect to do so much. The rest will leave to experts, even though I can do it. Goernment is like that one........

For year 1, you can breeze through most of the modules except computing, unless you have computer programming knowledge. You can easily breeze through year 1 because you learn a lot of things not related to your diploma. For example, the module on cognitive skills.Originally posted by progene:So is it ez to study at RP???
me thinkin of studyin again......
but wad can i study??
Whaaaaa.......seem difficult leh...me mayb go take bac my o 1st....Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:For year 1, you can breeze through most of the modules except computing, unless you have computer programming knowledge. This module aims to develop your thinking and to let you to get use to PBL. It also test your reasoning skills, why is it this, why is it that. Why you choose this method, why you choose that method. This module is one of hardest module because it requires you to think in a systematic and logical order. Any out of the box idea can be accepted, provided you can explain why you choose this particular idea. This module also lets you learn about hypothesis-testing, useful for those who want to pursue a science course. You will learn the correct way of hypothesis-testing, how to reject hypothesis and formulate a better one and so on.
For year 2 onwards, it will not be that easy because you are now focusing on your course. For example, you are going to graduate with a biomedical engineering diploma. Year 2 and 3 will focus on what a biomedical engineer needs to know, so you will be studying in detail. Year 3 could be your most interesting year, as you get to specialize in one of the areas in biomedical engineering.
There are not that many courses here because we are young. If you are interested in a sports diploma and you don't mind waiting, you are welcome to do so. Quite a lot of RP students graduating are waiting for that diploma, and the school for sports studies have set up.

Problem-Based Learning is indeed difficult, especially if you don't have any prior knowledge of that module.Originally posted by progene:Whaaaaa.......seem difficult leh...me mayb go take bac my o 1st....
oic....Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Problem-Based Learning is indeed difficult, especially if you don't have any prior knowledge of that module.
If you have prior knowledge of the module, it will be easy as it will be a build up on your prior knowledge. You will be slacking most of the time if you have prior knowledge, like I do for science modules because I got prior knowledge (took pure sciences, haha).
Even never take pure science, if you know a little bit about the subject, you only need to spend more time than the others. If totally no idea about that subject, more than half the time there you will be going "huh? what talking you?"
If the government takes that attitude they are silly.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:I thinking of that too. Then can see what you doing.........

I have been quite impressed with poly grads so far...and if they can do the job, there is no reason to hold them back. I see no reason why poly grads cannot publish scientific papers and present posters at international conferences...in fact, my techs have done so.
