  erm..mine was suposed to be a desktop replacement. Had the Pentium 4-M chip (M as in stepping-mobile, not the new one)

  fujitsu very expensive just because they are made in Japan.
  
  While Toshiba's parts are from japan,but they are assembled in China.
  
  Quality wise,it's about the same.

  i live in e west so acer and sony is my preferred choices as easier to take 2 their hq.

  Acer's parts like rojak like that lah. The parts are not manufactured by them,it's done by numerous other companies so it might not last as long as Toshiba.

  Samsung have just ventured in laptop making not long ago,so it might not be as eastablished. Price and Quality is good. But if u are looking for example; a battery or power adaptor, u go to funan n simlim, it'll be quite difficult to find.

  old Sony VAIO good
  
  new Sony VAIO no good
  
  samsung notebooks are pretty ok actually
  but consumers not so confident about its performance yet
  will take some time to fully take off......
  
  last time ASUS first launch alotta ppl were skeptical
  but it maintained well and it's now picking up
  
  lenovo clearing some stock now
  u might get some good deals at funan and SLS......
