  Just finished the two days of my medic refresher training.
  
  Another medic accidentally poked the IV cannula right through one of the veins in my left arm, causing a huge haematoma in the process.
  
  The swelling has gone down, but it still hurts to touch the area.
  
  And the entire vein seems to have collapsed.
