NUS is in Kent Ridge.
I live in Marine Parade (just opposite McDonalds ECP).
I cannot afford to stay in Hall.
Motorbike licence is out of my price range, much less car licence.
I take THREE buses to school every single day to save money. MRT takes almost the same amount of time, and so I take the bus instead so that I can sit down most of the time.
Takes 1 hr 30 min normally. Up to 2 hours sometimes.
Count your blessings. -

When I was doing internship last year I was posted to an ulu company in Loyang. The journey was 1 hr 30 min as well.

MRT takes almost the same amount of time, since I have to take two feeder buses as well.
Solutions to my problem? Gimme money so that I can stay in Hall for my final year when I have to slog through my FYP.
Right now I'm trying my darnedest to save money to make that a reality. Heck, I might even consider renting a room in the West area. -
