they have been managing without him for quite a while.. it's true without him they lose an edge.. but desperate times call for desperate measures...they just have to curve out a new team that's made without keane. i dont think alan smith is ready to replace him, but they can still do well w/o keane

Hitzfeld makes amazing United claim
Former Bayern Munich manager Ottmar Hitzfeld claims he has been offered a job by Manchester United.
The German has been out of football for 18 months but is planning a comeback.
And according to the News of the World, Hitzfeld told German newspaper Die Zeit: 'Yes, there has been an offer from United.
'I want to get back to football and next summer would be a good time to do that. I am ready for a new challenge.'
'My wife Beatrix would go to Manchester with me.'
Hitzfeld, 56, coached United transfer target Michael Ballack at Bayern and would like to see Germany's midfield star play abroad.
'Michael is a world-class player and as a fan of Germany I would say it would be good for our national team if one of our top players went abroad again,' said Hitzfeld. -

Manchester United can forget about winning anything for the rest of the decade.
Their make-shift midfield would not make it in the EPL & CL.
They have a strong strike force but if Ruud is injured, Man Utd is gone.
Their defence is a circus with Rio as Head Clown.
Lucky, they employed a good goal keeper.
If they are unable to employ Ballack, Alex will have to resign cos the loss of Keane is huge, just the loss of Beckham.
Keane is a bit harsh, but he was right in the comments of the players.
