PS: I made this thread cuz i buaysong with some of the bleachfanboys+narutards in my class. Everyday talk about bleach+naruto somemore they think they super knowledgable about anime. Asked them know what is melancholy of suzumiya haruhi bo. All give me that blur look. GG!

I can agree with some of the titles there like suzumiya haruhi and fate stay night, but there are some other titles which defers according to various taste.
i understand what Xephone_xenon is trying to bring across. he is pissed that someone who watch only bleach or naruto are calling themselves anime fans while others like himself have watch many more than them.
yes a true anime fan is one who know many aspects of his favourite anime, buy mechanises etc but as what stella said and also what i believe in, u can't force everyone to have the same taste as u. if they only like bleach and naruto so be it, who are u to force them what to do and who to like?

don't forget they are also gundam otaku, who are obsessed with gundams. manga otuka, one who read lots of manga. video games otaku, one who play lots of video games.
basically an otaku refers to an obsessive fan of any one particular theme, topic, or hobby. meaning to say one can be am gundam otaku who doesn't watch anime at all or a anime otaku who don't like gundams at all. so on and so forth.
but one common characteristic all otaku shared are they like to stay at home doing their preferred hobbies spends a lot buying merchandises. -
