expensive watch usually is the mechanism used (usually is not digital one) and the materials( for the face and the strap) and the brand which is very expensive. Its the art of making a watch.Originally posted by starblue:(at this point, i stared really hard at those 3 watches and asked myself, why the hell should a watch cost 1k?! it is preposterous!!)

You are just being subjugated by your personal feelings and background to pass judgements easily.Originally posted by starblue:maybe... i am judging the parents instead?

i was also thinking:
would i live my life now (trying to earn the bucks), so that my kid could be that boy?
what do u guys think?
yea.Originally posted by the Bear:the $10 watches are bought by shops BY WEIGHT!
but ultimately, they tell the same time as the $2000 watch
u know there is this new ice cream/dessert thing? that costs 25,000 pounds (around 75,000 sing dollars) a bowl??Originally posted by Master -_-:You are just being subjugated by your personal feelings and background to pass judgements easily.
If a watch that costs $200-300, u get disturbed.i guess you will get paranoid by those collecting Vacheron/Patek/Jaeger watches easily costing more than a 3rd World Country's GDP.
hmmm.... ok, say... a $200 watch can last 10 years (can it?).... and a $10 watch can last half a year (my mum's watch has been with her for 3 years now. no need change battery or strip or anything).Originally posted by seotiblizzard:by alot.
usually expensive watches are those wind up one.
those 10 dollar watches, the materials used are those cheapskate kind. very easy spoil. the mechanism is worse. in a few months comfirm gone.
i have a watch my mum bought, 200 plus, its still with me until, its been 2 yrs liao, still working like it shld, but mine isnt the wind up one, need to change battery.
