Don't know how to do Triangle Choke Holds.Originally posted by the Bear:there are many ways to disable a person without even mark on their body
most of them involve blocking the carotid triangle in what are generically termed as "Triangle Choke Holds"

Not too sure about aikido, it probably needs some internal training as well to handle the big guys.Originally posted by the Bear:for the petite and less inclined towards violence, could try aikido

Hehe, sounds good. But hard to apply. My current martial art stress on that.Originally posted by the Bear:nope.. the bigger the opponent, the harder the opponent falls..
this is one martial art where you do not have to be big or strong.. or even physically fit.. you just need to know where and how to deal with energy of your opponent..
it puts the opponent totally off balance and unable to do anything other than fall into a vulnerable position
Theres always the '3rd leg'Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:I dare to aim arms very good liao, considering that I am quite short. Other regions... legs can lah. Our martial arts like hitting legs. But I can't do it yet, not up to skill yet.![]()

I see.... I supposed one needs to be trained in internal training before one can do that. My teacher can do that, he got one very big size student, but have no problems moving him around, though not carry.Originally posted by the Bear:was watching Go Warrior the other night, the aikido master was this small old man...
then the big scary dude was thrown about like a rag doll and then subdued by this very petite girl who could not be more than 5 feet tall.. pretty cool..

That sort of choke holds can be dangerous. Compression of both carotids can certainly cause loss of consciousness, but it can trigger a vasovagal reflex and lead to death. That technique has been banned in many police forces as a result.Originally posted by the Bear:there are many ways to disable a person without even mark on their body
