I cannot go to Book Fair, I might end up with a truckloads of booksOriginally posted by the Bear:back from the book fair...
got 7 books, one travel guide, 1 pencil case, 2 CD files and one collection of faerie tale mini books in a "cupboard"
books are:
The Experts' Guide to 100 Things Everyone Should Know How to Do
Mahabharata - A Retelling of the Great Story of India - Margaret Simpson
The Devil's Larder - Jim Crace
The Question of Bruno - Aleksandar Hemon
The Year of Living Dangerously - Christopher Koch
Dilbert: The Joy of Work - Scott Adams
(ahem!) The Best Pub Joke Book Ever!
the travel guide is cool.. it's for Barcelona.. i WILL visit it one day... just to see the fantastic Sagrada Familia... it's got a little pen in the spine which slides out, a compass, 2 maps which fold in nicely by themselves and a 64-page city guide.. all for $4
i wanted a pencil case but they would only sell 3 for $10 so i got 2 more CD files to go with it.. so 3 for $10
as for the faerie tale books, they were for my sister... she had a collection of such books when she was a child and she loved them.. often taking them out from the little cardboard "cupboard" to read... but they were lost and she missed them a lot.. so when i saw that, i bought that for her
all in all, a nice day spent at Expo.. except the parking was insane
oh well.. had the company of 3 ladies
already started with the Dilbert Book
p.s. i hate the price tags on the thing.. they have too much glue and are hard to remove

Two years back, there was a second hand bookstore over here which has gone out of business...and they had a sale of some sort...and by the third day they were practically giving out books for free...Originally posted by the Bear:i had to be very disciplined.. but then, it was a mess... books randomly put and most of them are not very good... or a little bit too old
i'm still trying to take the accursed tags off
