  My HP always ring in the middle of the night when it's on "General" mode and i'm sleeping... be it 1+ or 2+ or even 4+ am... but whenever i do remember to switch it on to silent mode, it never rang!

  i understand what you mean... but isnt it worse if tt person just give u those short short one-worded replies? e feeling's even worse on the phone when u speak 20 words he/she give u one word back...
