Thats nothing.. during my childhood days, I will use a lighter and go look for slugs in the garden. During my childhood days, I was the God of natural disasters to the ants living around my house. I would enact tidal waves or great fires to any ant nest I find.
And if the ants live in a nest with only one small opening to the outside world, I would use baygon and spray into the hole for 10 seconds. Any ants trying to evacuate would face drowning -
