I've been in a r/s for many years liao.. recently the going has been very very rocky.
I also am starting to get a bit disillusioned with this love thing too.
But once in a while, when you see 2 old folks (couple) holding hands, jalan jalan along the pavement... doesn't it makes you envious and wish you had a partnership like theirs? It makes me think that, at the end of the day, my life achievements, how much money you make, etc.. count for s-hit.. Life will be meaningless if u dun have someone u love to grow old with and be by your side when you die..
sigh.. guess i'm still an optimistic boy scout huh?

I myself am skeptical too. I don't think I'm really for any type of relationship now, considering my financial means, my maturity level, my ability to "entertain". In fact, I find going into relationships is an unnecessary burden. After observation of people around me, I don't believe in "true love". It's just a hype created by society, particularly here, to increase and maintain economic prosperity.
Unless I meet the "One" someday, I rather believe in living the life I want and that is to live life freely without having any burdens. There might be some burdens that may be unavoidable as life goes on, but being able to minimise the number of burdens and enjoying life the way I want is the way I chose to go.
Am I going in circles around here? Sometimes, I cannot even understand myself. See, I'm not really for any relationships. -
