I've been to Loof and Timbre. Paulaner Brahaus has a live band but it's always packed.
Timbre is great if you want to dress down. Loof has two sections, an outdoor deck, and a indoor glass "pod row" where you can lounge on a "bed" and watch the city lights.
Both places would prolly cost you $30-40 for three drinks, either house for Loof and draft beer for Timbre.
New Asia Bar is another place that's alright, if you don't mind retro and bhangra. Seating capacity is poor too.
You want kebabs? One Rochester. Great kebabs. They cost arnd $30 per platter.
on another note, I haven't been to Aurum yet. Probably going after the exams.
