I got outbidded for Understanding the Universe.Originally posted by deathscythe99:Sounds good...

I was contemplating my Arts GEM module...got outbidded for like 4 rounds, finally got it (and if i dun i cant get to grad... cos I having minor).Originally posted by fudgester:I got outbidded for Understanding the Universe.
So in the end, here's my module list:
ME Core modules:
Engineering Professionalism EG1415
Mechanical Systems Design ME3102
Aero technical elective:
Compressible and Unsteady Flow ME3231
SARTOR/Breadth module:
Principles of Econs EC1301
Science GEM:
Computational Methods in Basic Finance GEK2507
UEM:
General Biology LSM1301
So I'm gonna clear the GEM, breadth and SARTOR requirements at one go this semester.
Then I'll be left with 2x FYP modules, 4x technical electives, and 1x UEM in my final year.![]()
I only have 900+ points in my general account. And the halfway through the bidding for Understanding the Universe, the minimum bid shot up to 800 points.Originally posted by deathscythe99:I was contemplating my Arts GEM module...got outbidded for like 4 rounds, finally got it (and if i dun i cant get to grad... cos I having minor).
Stupidest thing is as a minor student u are not protected! I've to bid in Round 2A with my GENERAL account points and that's insane when bids rise to a minimum of 450 pts (and it goes skyward).
Haiz....Write in no use, next sem I gonna bang table liaos.
We aint expected to go garang against those with 1000+ pts in their 2nd yearOriginally posted by fudgester:I only have 900+ points in my general account. And the halfway through the bidding for Understanding the Universe, the minimum bid shot up to 800 points.
The admin just doesn't seem to realise that we engineers have too many useless Prog account points (which are only useful for the Sartor mods) and too few valuable Gen account points (which we need for a lot of other non-Engin mods).![]()
the point is even if you store power for most of 4 yeaars, your general account still loses to the art or science year 1 student if i not wrongOriginally posted by deathscythe99:We aint expected to go garang against those with 1000+ pts in their 2nd year
We aint expected to do those mods which they wan to 'protect' their own people? Hmms...
Prog accts is for Sartor in 1st yr, some of our own internal lab biddings (which is for Rd 1 and touches only those within e fac/dept) and maybe our electives.
And seriously speaking, everyone WITHIN the engine fac has more or less e same amt of Prog acct pts....Geez...
If I have 350 Gen pts every semester, i aint complaining...
Sci Gen acct adds about 400 pts to them every semester...think arts more....anyone to confirm?Originally posted by hisoka:the point is even if you store power for most of 4 yeaars, your general account still loses to the art or science year 1 student if i not wrong![]()
