Hello. As for the discussion of hardworking vs smart/talented, I have a feeling most of these people have already learned most of the modules they're taking some way or another, therefore, they already know how to manage those modules and get good grades. It's like they have a 10km advantage over us in a marathon at the starting line.

It's just like those who already have a background in programming would have found the CS1101C (Programming in C) module to be a walk in the park.
Needless to say, I'm a computer n00b. -
That's why I advocate to my friend, we shall start teaching level 1 modules in upper sec and level 2 and 3 modules in JC, so that our poor fellow Singaporeans will go in on an equal (not even advantage. ) footing as our fellow foreign talent friends.
I think in a few years time, you'll see all the top graduates from the local universities are foreigners. The takeover will thus be complete. -

I know for a fact that Lord Kelvin entered Cambridge at age 10 and became a full professor at age 23. I'm 23 now, and I still can't do a lot of things.
I won't try to be someone I'm not. I know that I don't have a ghost of a chance against these smartasses. I'll just focus on trying to be a better Fudgester.
