[Alert] Potential NUS fee hike

If the administration chooses to treat its students this way, they can jolly well shelve their talk and whining about why there isn't a substantial amount of funding coming in from the alumni.
American universities were funded by philantrophists and they had enough money to pay the way for needy but brilliant American students, who would naturally feel grateful in their working lives to pay back to society what was given. Is this kind of philantrophy existent here? No.

For your side, can understand. The fees are so much different.
Problem here is the ethics behind it, and the lack of accountability to the end-user. -

I think NUS and NTU should stay under public uni category. Why do we need duplication for the sake of it? -

2) lecturer is not helpful in answering ur queries and brushes u off
3) lecturers seem to be slacking and then *pow* they give u ultimate blows for ur exams
4) facilities are in a complete mess (look at LT7A's chairs...WOW! Then look at LT7, smells of urine sometimes? Look at Sci fac...geez!)

Have you seen the Life Science labs recently, some of the fixtures look like it's from the 1980s.
I had a tutor who had to be corrected in her understanding of globalisation and politics by one of my classmates last semester, a supposed graduate student corrected by a freshman..
The Theatre Studies chaps had to raise their own money for their play production module, props and all.. -
