At least not the one near my block...
Nearly got banged into by the car at the pedestrian crossing despite it being green. I wonder why the cars are so in a hurry to rush across the green man when there are people crossing?!
See other cars cross doesn't mean they should ma...
And this is not the first time I see such things happen already. -

i have many to say ...
1) has anyone questioned LTA the technical specs of our roads? i am sure there are standards to adhere to regarding friction specs against tires in dry/wet conditions, ability of road surface to drain water thru (not over, over surface draining causes water sheeting and is very dangerous).
2) has anyone noticed that LTA may have a few sub-contractors maintaining and building roads? although LTA are the primary body doing the QC, based on what are these procedures? as drivers, dont you all think more and more bumps are surfacing due to dodgy works?
3) has anyone noticed along long stretches of E-ways, different contractors have done the surfacing (maybe even the underlays) in different ways (different materials). has anyone noticed that the roads with different surfaces have different reactions to tires? next time when you travel from city to woodlands and it rains, please take note certain sections do not encourage drain off as well as other sections.
4) has anyone questioned that the increased number of accidents along E-ways may be linked to the poor quality of the roads ability to drain water during rainy days? watersheeting effect causes tires to have no grip on road, especially when you do an E-brake, the tires tend to have a floating effect on top of the water sheet.
readers and motorist alike please do think about the above, we do not wish our friends and relatives to die on the road anymore.

i happen to know a few friends who have had accidents due to poor road conditions. increased number of road irregularities (bumps) makes our tires lose grip of the road for a split second, it is here your vehicle is no longer attached to the road ! do you know what this means?
the use of speed reduction strips (white color bumper lines), especially in long bends are dangerous. each small bump couple with the centrifuge force in small bends (+ rain water) may cause a car to skid off in a straight line into the crash fences. i believe motorcyclist can swear they skid so many times over these white markers/bumps. again the bumps causes tires to lose grip with the road.
roads near petrolstations/workshops are prone to oil leaks, i have personally experienced this. i believe the LTA knows of roads with high grade of porosity, but unfortunately, what i see is that the fuel sheets over the road, causing my accident. -
local drivers are impatient, they cannot wait and always seems to be on the rush. if green light liao, they expect the car in fornt to move out asap, if not they will start honking.

it should be slower before the bend, and not during the bend. drivers know what i mean right? some strips are along the bend and not way before the bend.
