A full mid-term break.
Instead of from "Sat" to Thur, 6 days, we now get "Sat" to the next "Sun", 9 days. With effect from the start of the next academic year 2006/7.

All the reasons they've given thus far on being difficult to change, admnistrative problems, NS call-up period blah blah blah are just crap.
They're just LAZY to change...buggers. Just wanna charge more but lazy to do simple things for the students which benefit them. Sighz. -

Sheesh man - what's so difficult about adding just one more day to the break? Don't tell me that adding another 24 hours to the break is gonna screw up all their schedules. I remember they implemented the five-day work week just a couple of months after LHL urged all schools to do so. So that didn't screw up their schedules even more?
In the end, I have to agree that all the dumb excuses given by them for both the fee hike and the four-day break are just one elaborate wayang kulit. I'm just not enjoying the show.
In the past I thought that having an NUS education was truly something to be proud of.
Right now I just want to get my degree and buzz off. -
