As for facilities, I dun see improvement... As for bus 151, saw a webpage on a NUSSU dialogue session, Sv 151's poor sv was raised. Even if you search google using "NUS bus 151", all the blogs you get are against SBS -

Yes, I agree that there will be more financial help for the needy students, but it won't do anything for the students from middle-income families who still struggle to pay for them anyway.
And if they had really cared about the students, the very least they could have done was to consult NUSSU in the discussions to raise the fees. This is something that directly involves the students, and they don't even bother consulting the students.
And don't tell me that this was due to an 'oversight', either. An oversight is leaving your handphone at home. An oversight is forgetting to bring your lecture notes. An oversight is not increasing the tuition fees for the second year in a row without so much as consulting the students before. -

1) The needy students did not open their mouth for help, maybe because of 'face'
2) They see the fee hike as a prob to them -
As I have searched and saw the NUSSU recent dialogue session minute taking...
1) Science Canteen kena complained for being too crowded
2) Bus 151 on the agenda for non aircon fleet (Now I know why, cos there is no more NAC stamp

Hmm... But have the university mgmt tried to solve these issues raised? I dun think so... But yet they did not consult the SU on the fee hike. The domestic economy situation has not improved, yet students have to bite with the 3% fee hike otherthan last yr's. Sad -

Why can't they just do so for those who are rich and afford to party around almost 10 weeks in school?! (read: those who keep skipping lectures and tutorials for god-knows-what lessons/stuff)
And I think the NUSSU is a lil bullsh*t and ineffective. What have they done thus far? More bazaars? Puhlezzzeee...NUSSU shouldnt be just about bazaars and camps. Where's the welfare to students? Obviously I dun see any. And they remind me of a mini-political party where they trumpet their 'achievements' and sweep their failings under their fast-gathering-dust carpet
