SP dont encourage students to buy a laptop as school got many PCs...but their PC all got time restrictions...some more sit in the Com lab no Privacy....

Besides, with a laptop you can work virtually anywhere, as opposed to school terminals where you have to make your way down to the library or the computer labs. Unless if you want to print stuff out, of course.
As for me I bring my laptop only if I need to do project work in school. Occasionally I bring it when I have long breaks between lessons. I can then at least check my e-mail and stuff... make better use of my time. -
Laptop is heavy la,but on days where need to bring,i usually play games and surf net instead of doing work..
