  soundwave did rescue megatron when he was injured. but he did not stop starscream from dumping megatron. in fact the decepticons were fighting in taking leadership of decepticons after that and soundwave was one of the them too.

  somemore soundwave got those cassettes that can transform into an eagle and panther as spies. the good guys also got 1 radio transformer but he don't have this ability.
