Wireless network

  hey jus curious, after getting my laptop, it seems that it will be more convience for me to get set up a wireless internet at home. been stealing my neighbour's network quite a few times but really donno how to go about setting one myself thanks

  But do note that, though tapping on yur neighbour's bandwidth is easy, it is illegal.. yur neighbour could also detect yur MAC address or IP address and report you to yur respective ISP. Den u might be in trouble.. I encourage u to set up yur own secure wireless network and use yur network most of the time. Btw, if u are not sure on setting up encryption, do ask me.. i will try my best to help u... yurs is using which brand of router/ adapter?

  wait... i hope u guys can teach me... i donno what is router and adapter serious, been connecting my com/lappy thru the telephone wire directly...

  go buy a router and read its quickstart installation manual. bery easy one. u using singnet/pacnet/adsl or starhub/cable?

  singnet 512k now, but then i think i am changing soon le, 2 yr plan over...

  den its even easier.. if u re contract with singnet or go sign up with starhub they will have free router and free router installation scheduled for you too.
  
  but really, u can set it up urself. if u get singnet choose 2wire the router, its the easiest router ive ever used and least problems too. some routers have problems with bittorrent..

  If u subscribe to 512K singnet broadband plan, they should give u a Ethernet ADSL modem rite? all u need now is just to buy a router since u already have wireless adapter installed in yur laptop.. u can den hook yur ethernet modem to the router, and den to the desktop PC.. yur laptop could also share the same internet access too..
