Since there are folks here who likes gardening, I thought we can share some useful links and tips on gardening and planting.
I've been looking for the following website link for a long, long, long time, since I'd first heard of it.
It's a particularly good site because the articles and participation are mostly by and for Singaporeans and others living in the tropics, and also include hard-to-find tips relating to high-rise apartment gardening...very apt for many of us.

Intro to Airplants
It was love at first sight. The plants were weird-looking and yet at the same time endearing. A few blushing ones caught my eyes which I later learnt that they were going to bloom. I was amazed that these plants do not require soil and can be attached to almost anything.

Its not aeroponics , this plants are called air plants , which mean they don't need soil to grow . You have to spray water onto the leaves which will then be absorb by the leaves and grows . You can afix them to wooden log or stone to make it more pleasing to the eye . But from what i observed , most pple fix them to small wooden logs or aquarium logs to help for easier or better growth and as time passes you may even see them forming roots clinging to the wooden logs to absorb moisture . I tried buying 5 of them but alas all of them died , last one died after 3 months as i still can't figure out how to grow them well . But if are able to grow them and even let them burst into full bloom , you will be very excited to see their flowers which is indeed very colorful and luminous to certain extent .
