Yesterday I had vegetarian chicken rice....the chicken really looks quite real, with the meat, the thin layer of jelly and the rubbery skin.
But the taste is like.... 
my market only have those normal bee hoon with char siew etc.
i've not seen kueh chap and chicken rice b4 -

Oh yes, some vege food can be quite gourmet-ish one. If you can find vege mutton curry, they're usually quite good. Although don't taste like real mutton, good nonetheless.
