In this photo provided by SeaWorld San Diego, a Caribbean flamingo chick, which was hatched in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, is nuzzled by its parent at SeaWorld San Diego's flamingo exhibit, in San Diego, Calif. Caribbean flamingo chicks typically weigh about four ounces at hatching and have a gray, cotton-ball-like appearance, according to SeaWorld. The chicks grow quickly, sometimes gaining as much as 20 percent of their body weight daily and begin to stand and walk at about three to four days of age. Chicks will leave the nest mound at four to seven days but parents feed their young up to three months. Chicks gradually start turning pink at approximately three months, coming into full color at three about years. (AP Photo/SeaWorld San Diego)
