Nowadays the weather is hazy and rainy, can hardly see the sunlight...which is definitely not good for my plants at all.

Our railing is thick, and the top portion of the wall is slanted downwards, so it's quite difficult to find suitable pots to hang, either on the railing itself or over the wall. -

don't have neighbours rear birds, last time next door used to have, my children like to go and watch the bird hop in the cage, the bird too smart, practise opening the door until one fine day succeeded in opening it and flied out with good timing before the door slam down on it.....Originally posted by Ah Cek:u shld feed the worms to the birds ma.

Next time take a photo of the bug n we all discuss lar . Perhaps the bug is a beneficial bug to your plants ? You haven seen my earthworms all coming up when i water my plants lol. Anyway anyone here got a way to kill as many snails as possible in the shortest time ? I always put snail pellet to kill them and even cover my whole pot with salt only succeed in killing all existing snails nia but soon the eggs hatch and the snails multiply agn especially when me now working .

I bought the tiny pot of promegranate (sp?) 2 CNY ago, and in less than a year, it grew quite big and started bearing fruits sometime in Nov/Dec.
The fruit hung onto the medium-sized "tree" for quite a few months, throughout the 2nd CNY, until I removed them when they started to decay.
The tree is now quite big and gets trimmed until sometimes botak. It hasn't borne any fruits ever since though. -

by the way how about getting the growing fruit fertilizer from NTUC...its the dark blue color one i think.....

Yeah, the red flowers and fruits were quite pretty to look at.
It's ok about the soil, splashy. Remember once I went to the MacRitchie nursery after work? The foreign worker recommended me burnt soil which turned out to be very good for the pomegranate. Now the leaves are growing into a dark green colour (instead of the previous light green which wilted soon after).
BTW, from your pic, your corridor railing is squarish in shape? Mine is round, so I wonder if the Toyogo box that you have can also hang onto the round railing? -
umm u will still need the wall as a support to keep the pot straight so on condition the gap between the rail and the wall is not too big, u can get one to try...
the two 'hanger' is $2 each (one pack one piece) and the pot is errrr i think less then $5.
I will go home and measure the length between the part hanging on the rail and the end of the pot, so that u can see if yours can use or not, ok.... -

Do you turn your pot around every week or so? Coz otherwise the plants tend to grow towards the direction of the sun, hor? All curved towards one side. -
i didn't, that's why my purple flowers all falling outside (they need all the sunlight bo pian), and i can't see its beauty... (i just LOVE that purple flower, its SOOOOO nice)...if only i m living at the lower flower can see it hanging out, will be very nice....

I turn the catnip plant everyday while it was growing...I was afraid the stems may all bend towards one side and then break off. But a big pot like yours is a bit too heavy to turn.
