One of the greastest mysteries even till today, the magnificent stonehenge of England. No one even knew what this monument was used for? why would one put so much effort and time into building it? what did it mean to them?
There are probably hundreds of myths and legends about Stonehenge. Various people have attributed the building of this great megalith to the Danes, Romans, Saxons, Greeks, Atlanteans, Egyptians, Phoenicians Celts, King Aurelius Ambrosious, Merlin, and even Aliens.
One of the most popular beliefs was that Stonehenge was built by the Druids. These high priests of the Celts (modern desendants include the welsh and bretons), constructed it for sacrificial ceremonies. It was John Aubrey, who first linked Stonehenge to the Druids. Additionally, Dr. William Stukeley, another Stonehenge antiquary, also claimed the Druids were Stonehenge's builders. Stukeley studied Stonehenge a century later than Aubrey and became so involved in the study of the Druid religion that he himself became one. Through his work he was very instrumental in popularizing the theory that Stonehenge was built by Druids. -

true. stonehenge contains some smaller stones called bluestones not found anywhere else in the vicinity. These stones are located roughly 240 miles away, at the Prescelly Mountains at the southwestern tip of Wales. The bluestones weigh up to 4 tons each and about 80 stones were used, in all. If the Great Wall of China cab be built with our own human strength, it is no surprise that the stonehenge can be built too.
Believe it or not, it is done within our mother earth ability. -
