Which one suits you? which one you like??
TAI-TAI TYPES You're looking for: A dog that's pretty to look at and one you can pamper and pop into your tote bag as an accessory to your Prada coat.
You'll need: A small dog that you can send for many grooming sessions to show you can afford to give your poochie poochie poo the best a dog can get. The dog should also not require much exercise.
Urban recommends: A shih tzu, toy poodle or maltese (left).
BUSY SINGLEYou're looking for: A dog that doesn't need too much of your time because you're so busy at work. It should not need much grooming or exercise either. Better still if it can go downstairs and buy its own food.
You'll need: A small dog with fur that needs minimal grooming and is happy to stay at home. Of course, all dogs need some exercise, but these should come as close to your needs as possible.
Urban recommends: A chihuahua or a mini pinscher (left)
FAMILY PET You're looking for: A loving dog that is patient and won't bite your child because he has pulled its ears for the umpteenth time.
You'll need: Good-natured dogs that are people-centric and willing to put up with more unruly behaviour from the young ones. Of course, you have to teach your child some manners - dogs get irritated too.
Urban recommends: Golden retriever (left) or pug
ELDERLY COUPLEYou're looking for: Some company now that the kids have grown up and left home.
You'll need: Dogs that are easy to handle and need less exercise so you don't have to pant more than the dog when you take him out for walks.
Urban recommends: A bichon frise or a cavalier King Charles spaniel (left)
