Really have to shop properly
I have seen some fishes at fish farm which is more expensive than what I can buy outside and I don't think there is any quality difference in the fish. It is not some special bred guppies or anything but ordinary puffer fishes -

Hmmm.. i find that the prices at the Pasir Ris farms are pretty much the same as in ordinary fish shops outside.. The most cutthroat fish farm i've ever encountered and known is Qian Hu...

Oh Qian Hu is in the Tengah area, in the far west. Best to take their free shuttle bus there from Bukit Batok MRT or Boon Lay MRT, the bus operates only on Sat and Sun, half hour interval. Unless I decide to start a tropical fish tank again then I will go buy the fishes I like....hmmmm or maybe i'll just put catfish into the pond. I love catfishes -

2) Tigrinus (Zebra Shovelnose) -

1) Mr Ugly, the Cuttlefish in his spartan tank => Very badly taken, but these 2 are the best liao amongst the photos i took of this creature.. must absolutely be kept alone, will eat ANYTHING that moves in his tank.. i feed him live shrimps and fishes.
2) My Favourite pet, the Pignosed Turtle! Shown here eating his supper of mixed veggies. -
Wahhh I want a pig-nosed turtle but I don't think AVA allows petshops to sell them now. I soooo regret not getting one the last time coz I was too lazy to find out how to care for it.

Yes u r right about that catfish. Those are cute, especially when you have 2 of them.
Pignoses are actually very easy to care for, i feed mine 3 meals a day with pellets, fish meat and veggies, with a water change every fortnight. One can easily tell when he's hungry.. that's when he starts poking his snout into every crevice in the tank, sniffing for food. He will also start sniffing the sand substrate and his tankmates.. interesting fella. -
