dunno why suddenly my gouramis keep dying.
yesterday morning 1 of the bigger silver coloured gouramis died. then evening time, found another red gourami(new) died. this morning another new gold coloured one died.
seriously i am rather upset abt it and when my dad asked me waht colour was the 1 that died, i didnt answer him immediately and he just screamed at me. -

yah .. fish died for many reasons .. i once kept some guppies which supposed to be idiot proof but all died .. so i bought new ones n start all over again n they got babies ..

the big fishes i showed u the other time i kept for at least 3,4 weeks.
they werent fighting but i noticed 1 small gold gourami looked as if it was snipping at the tail of another dead fish..i am not sure.
i didnt find any obvious wounds maybe for a bit of red colour in the corner of the eye.
i noticed the fishes werent as active as usual and didnt have much appetite to the food. lowered interest in the blood worms.
1 of the fishes that died earlier than these few had rather serious injuries on its body. abdomen region and right eye looked as if something from inside imploded.
i suspect the plants my dad bought to put inside was the cause. but he really ma hou pao..
put inside for a week liao then he say " that time i read newspapers say maybe need to disinfect first" now then say....

lol I think I am a really bad pet-keeper...my hammie died after around a year, then my my budgies(a type of bird, got colorful feathers one) died after only a few months...haiz. So can understand how you feel...

My new pet stingray died only after 2 weeks in my fishtank, it's edges looking tattered for no discernible reason... Almost $100 down the drain.
But keeping pets is like that lar, very hard to say even though you've already tried your best. -

my fishes started biting each other fins n tail off as well. Then they die gradually..the last survivor was kinda pathetic..it can barely swim with its fins n tail bitten off like 60%

anyway the irony is that 1 of the surviving lao jiao is a dwarf gourami that was the first of the batch of gouramis i bought that had this injury on the gills area. -
i suggest you stop buying any more. you should clear your tank and wash it again with salt.
then start everything all over again.
check you lights as well. -
