hi people i am having a computer reboot problem here
i am using a 1 year old HP m7390d PC
i have just re installed my OS by system restore, due to a media center problem
however, upon trying to boot into the desktop, the PC oly manages to stay there for a minute, then it *clacks* loudly, and restarts itself.
this is not the first time i have encountered this problem, when i first bought the pc, it had this problem, and a hp technician had to come down and fix it.
after that, it worked fine, but after today's system restore, it had the problem again
from what i gathered last time, the problem is due to a piece of info not present, or a missing patch.
any help here would be appreciated thank you very much
*clacks* loudly would suggest that your hard disk is fried....
no, i am very sure my hdd is not fried. it makes this noise every time i shut down, even when it was new. when the computer was done shutting down and it finally went off, it would clack loudly.
now that it is okay, im releived, but may i ask where to find the latest graphics drivers for ATi Radeon X1300PRO pci-e
the original gpu drivers were causing the reboot problem, so i had them removed
Go to ATI webby. They should have this drivers for downloading.
okay thanks. already got the working ones from HP last night. thanks thou
