Stomach Ulcer

Any ways to prevent recurrence of stomach ulcers? Very unpleasant feeling in my abdomen and really affecting me badly.
I was told that bananas is very good at preventing a recurrence but don't know how true. Any doctors here pls advise.............. -
Eat less spicy food, spicy food sears the stomach lining, and the stomach acids will start attacking.

This I already know 5 yrs back but ever since I have a total of 3 recurrence including this time. ok, basically, up til now there is no concrete evidence dat the infamous Helicobacter Pylori aka H.Pylori is the cause of many peptic ulcers occuring but in majority of the patients who ganna peptic or stomach ulcers, H. Pylori is found. But htere are also cases where people got H. In other to curb H. Pylori, u need Bismuth and strong AB like amoxicillin which the doctor will prescirbe to u if the test for H. Pylori is positive but its not common for doctor to test for H Pylori unless u request cos as i have said, no concrete evidence. The test can be as easy as taking ur breath sample after drinking some yucky solution...or test blood or sh1t oso got...
but note dat H. Pylori is very hard to kill cos if there is just abit of them left, they can regenerate and b4 u know it...they are back.
if ur doctor did not test u for H. Pylori, ask him to do so...cos who knows, it could the root cause.

One is the staff useing a round (don't know wat the f*ck tat thing is)and move around my naked stomach. And I can view the 'picture' on a tv monitor. Oh yes, the one women used for their scaning to see the unborn baby..... test results: negative
The other one is I had to drink a cup of ( don't know wat the f*ck again liquid ) which generates lots of gases in my stomach, hold my breath and a X-ray taken on my stomach.........test results: POSTIVE -

oh yah, peptic ulcer is NOT caused by stress lah, spicy food but they CAN be made worse by them.
Normally they will do the breath test or stool test as they are less invasive. blood test oso can but not very accurate due to the nature of the presence in blood...the details i wun go into them lah.
next check up u speak to the doctor, u ask him if it is advisable to do a check for H. Pylori.

weight lose
lose of appetite
insomnia
SEVERE constipation
hot temper
pain in your stomach and back

To avoid making things worse, u should stay away from spicy food cos it can make things worse...ur doctor got give u antacids boh...if got must take leh...especially b4 bedtime dat dose.
peptic ulcers dun praypray....wait 'burn' a hole then is emergency liao...if u vomit blood or 'kopi' and/or see bloody/black/charry stools then faster biah to hospital hor cos mite be perforation aka the ulcer 'drill' through the stomach wall or the ulcer or stomach acid break a blood vessel.
since peptic ulcers keep returning, its a gd habit to always look down and check the colour of ur sh1t...if cannot determine then check the toilet paper after wiping.... abit er xin but for ur own good and in the cubicle bo lung zai oso lah -
Thks. You r really helpful. But anyway, the test results of the Barium Test shows: Duodenal cap is deformed suggesting duodenal ulcer. Simi lai er?
This is the test results for my first ever stomach ulcer. -
means they conclude ulcer due to the portion being 'eaten' or taken up by the ulcer...cos when an ulcer developes like when u got mouth ulcer...will have some part like ganna 'eaten' rite ? same lor....Originally posted by Manager433:Thks. dun worry lah, they will give u some medicine to 'protect' the lining and strengthen it and most prob antacids and other side dishes for u to take.. -

flaxseed oil and cottage cheese is a very gd thing to take...go look it up...u will be amazed...
