  neither air-con nor fan

  some old folks tale say wear slippers

  don't be bare footed on floor

  cannot wash hair and etc

  if bath need bath with red dates water i think

  hm i think it's advisable not to stay in air con or "windy" room haha.. cannot let wind enter room.. thus the room's window is close, and only to let a same gap open to allow vendilation

  cannot let the fan's breeze blow directly at you

  food wise i think chinese eat meat stir fried with sliced ginger and sesame oil (it is better to eat the ginger too  )

  and drink lotsa red dates brew with water

  Phoebie, I agree with u, Food must hav Sesame Oil and Ginger but as for the fan/air con rite? why not??

  Every mother when they gave birth, The labour ward is air con!The hospital room is air con! The whole hospital is air con! When u travel home: car, bus, taxi.. all air con nowadays. How to avoid. So air con is ok compared to fan for wat i think cos during confinement u can't shower. If Hot and sweat then become very irritated for the mum. Then sweaty mum look after baby, she will smell like salted fish after 1 month.

  So long as the mother knows how to keep warm, wear socks, Temp of Air con not lower than 25degree. I think is ok. Baby will enjoy the coolness and sleep soundly!
