I think that it is pointless to try to "improve" yourself when the problem is that you have a poor philosophy of life and living. It is like trying to dry yourself while you are inside the swimming pool. It is better to get out of the swimming pool (discard a bad philosophy of living, if that is indeed the problem, instead of just trying to learn from every crisis).Originally posted by BadzMaro:Close enough , but arent we always trying to improve ourselves ? Be able to control.. maybe we are not yet able to totally comprehend it. Thats why , dont you want to go there ? If you are able to. But normally we are too busy with our lives , living it away chasing things.
See. You have already made up ur your mind that my philosophy is wrong. Isn't improving yourself a learning process? We all need a good philosophy in life no doubt , but like i said . Environment and also the intelligence of a person is a factor. How do you even show or teach him a good philosophy when he doesn't have the experience or that level of intelligence to comprehend. You speak of trying to dry yourself in the pool. Now which intelligent person doesn't know you cant dry urself while in water.Originally posted by AndrewPKYap:I think that it is pointless to try to "improve" yourself when the problem is that you have a poor philosophy of life and living. It is like trying to earn $5000/- per month while working as a cleaner in a food court. You need to get a higher paying job! Similarly, you must have a good philosophy of life that helps you succeed and not hope to be successful with a poor basic philosophy of life (work as cleaner and hope to make $5000/- per month)
Unless you think that your philosophy is perfect, people should be able to point out the flaws in it wouldn't they? Then people reading will be able to see the advantages and disadvantages of having a philosophy like yours.Originally posted by BadzMaro:See. You too assume too much about the lack of wisdom , intelligence , experience and comprehension of maybe me for example to come to that conclusion.
Anyways . . Its tiring and tedious to explain or share my views when you have no intention of reading in more detail or understanding my point of view. You have already made your decision.
I can say mine is not perfect. But its what that made me more successful in all areas . Like i am willing to go low to succeed. If you want to point flaws which i dont mind, then direct the pointing to my philosophy rather then my personal character as a whole -Originally posted by AndrewPKYap:Unless you think that your philosophy is perfect, people should be able to point out the flaws in it wouldn't they? Sure, experience and level of intelligence play a part but his thread is not discussing level of intelligence and experience.
The whole point of this thread is to consider the various philosophies that people have and hopefully people can pick up some tips.
