Suicide (For a friend who has a long way to go)
Black is the color of death,
When someone finally takes their last breath.
Black is the world of all,
When someone finally fall.
Everything is gone while you're asleep,
Everyone is still around while you're in deep.
Nothing stops for you when you were lost.
No friends will forget who you once was.
Lying there, you wait.
For people to join you in your fate.
'It's painful to stay,'
That's what you'll say.
'Would you stay if I was to ask.'
'Would you put behind your past?'
'I may have left you behind there,
But I am not someone who don't care.'
Sorrows dug deep into others heart,
Wondering when did all these start.
And so the people thought,
While your body left to rot.
While the world will spin,
You lie still as you always have been.
Black is the color of your world,
Black is the color where everything is blur. -

Rain (For a friend who departed from this world)
The glittering light across the pale blue ocean above,
Revealed a tender but never forgotten love.
Before the flurry clouds were blown away from their path,
Some had given the lands their bath.
From the grieving skies came the waters of the rain,
With the rain went the sorrows of the land and its pain.
The thunder roared and the lightning struck,
To cast away the memories of the dark.
So the clouds amassed in the skies,
Gathering as one and sorrowfully cries,
Knowing the land's curse and pains for years,
The water fell and poured like tears.
After the rain and everything was cast away,
From where it came to where it stay,
The bright rainbow appears and shines after the showers,
And the land will bloom again with flowers. -

Never meant to be (For a friend who was not only a friend then)
We were never meant to be
When in your heart there is no space for me
You were everything but a million miles away
Will you beckon me to stay?
So I cried and tears eventually followed
To take you out and have that space in my heart hollowed
Melting every memory of you from the day we part
To leave myself with an empty heart
Yet a shard of ice still pricks my soul
That lies deep in my flesh leaving me cold
I shy away from your shadow to keep myself sane
But fate keep bringing me back to this narrow lane
Though I saw you again after such a long time
Our friendship was already past our prime
I bidded goodbye but you couldn't hear
We are so far yet so near
Someone had already replaced you on my mind
Yet I still hope our friendship will rewind
Even though we were never meant for each other
We can still be friends together -

The clock struck thirteen tonight. (For my squabbling friends)
The clock struck thirteen tonight,
Oh, what a time for me to have my plight?
To listen to people grumbling about others,
When these people had once been regarded as brothers?
The clock struck thirteen tonight,
For the rain lost her red moonlight.
The clock struck thirteen tonight,
Oh, who is to judge who is wrong or right?
To listen to people grumbling about friend,
And turned each other into strangers in the end?
The clock struck thirteen tonight,
For the joy had lost the cloud from her sight.
The clock struck thirteen tonight,
Oh, forgive me for I could not shed any light.
To tell on others when I'm as blind as the rest,
For I had never fought for with any zest.
The clock struck thirteen tonight,
For the star has lost his mind in the blight.
The clock had struck thirteen tonight,
Oh, all the zeros gone from here with flight.
To one's demise again is a good way out,
Dear friend, do I have any doubt?
The clocked had struck thirteen tonight.
I shall disappear to everyone's delight.
This poem is revised to edit the mistakes, as it was written in haste and frustration. -
I finally did it (For a friend who I dearly remembers)
I phoned her up and told her not to bother about the gifts,
I told her that I'm sick and tired of being placed in between the rifts.
I said I'm tired of listening to all her excuses and reasons,
All of them were just lies and painful lessons.
I don't care what she promises for the future,
Because I don't see myself in that picture.
This time I asked her to let me go,
Even if the tears were to roll.
It doesn't matter anymore for me, it doesn't matter anyway,
Since she could just leave it there to come again and go away.
She might have said 'I love you' one more time,
And now it is just a sound that rings in my mind like a chime.
A beautiful note that is pleasing to hear,
Yet it reminds me of a nightmare and my fear.
This time I told her not to come back,
To go her own journey and leave me in my track.
She loves the sea and takes after it,
Like the torrents, she swept me ashore on our first meet.
Yet, the tides lowered and she left me alone,
On a note so high that I could not forget the tone.
Three years and we were there before,
Sharing everything that we both adore.
And I finally did it after so long,
To put an end to this sad love song. -
When I looked at the skies above (For a friend who will remain in my heart though she is far away)
When I looked at the sky I will remember,
You told me to name the stars that I could number.
And from then I never forgot about you when I looked at it again,
So can you please tell me where I should begin?
The first star was called Nel,
And you were the first I wanted to tell,
The first I wanted to share,
But you were no longer there.
Today I looked at the sky,
I could feel that you are somewhere nearby.
I devote all the stars and my heart,
I would wish that we were back from the start. -
