no lah....its you vs you...dun compare with others. u are there not to compare or compete. just do it at your own pace. enjoy the process, been going gym for 4 yrs now, though not much muscles developed but i feel better and when i go to gym i drink more water, when i drink more water i am able to recover from occasional flu bouts in 4-5 hrs.
note that when u do gym ur immunity will be lowered for a few hrs, dats when u need to take care. if ur gym is air-conned and outside is farking hot, make sure u stay outside the gym but indoor for awhile b4 going off. also drink more water.
going to gym regularly will boost ur immunity somehow. make sure to hydrate more to expel the 'toxins'.
soon you will find it a routine to go to gym, if i dun go i will feel uneasy.
