u need to train damn hard...to the point of soreness every gym session for it to work...make sure u train to the point that ure body needs the extra ooomph from the weight gainer...Originally posted by FadeToBlack:Does it really works?
yeah...of course its ok...Originally posted by nightzip:calories is ok rite?
as in there's no fat, cholestrol, sugar, salt, etc..that kinda thing...i.e. unhealthy..
no scientific proof that calories is bad issit? think they say to loose calories is so that u can reduce weight...so ofcuz if you want to gain weight, you have to take in more "energy" in terms of calories?
Thanks for your reply.. But i have more questions:Originally posted by sidestep1984:u need to train damn hard...to the point of soreness every gym session for it to work...make sure u train to the point that ure body needs the extra ooomph from the weight gainer...
i had a damn skinny fren who took it just becos he wanna gain weight....but never gain anything...
my simple reply to him was....
'U never go gym..take that for the past few months.....like no use right...?...u drink it in...come out shit and piss oni becos ure untrained body doesnt have the need to take in the nutrients, calories and protein from the weight gainer'
more info on weight gainers...as u may noe...most bodybuilders take them to mass up....
but the prob is....the high calories...
so i'd rather suggest a normal protein powder....u gain more muscle mass without worrying abt calorie intake....
wat do u want gain then?...weight gainer is ok...but u gotta rack up the weights for sure...but if following ure current activity level....just stick to protein...can gain lean muscle massOriginally posted by FadeToBlack:Thanks for your reply.. But i have more questions:
I don't go gym often, but im planning to do it like once a week, but also i do push ups and dumbell liftings(8kg) at home as well as sit ups..
I'm also hyper-active type, whenever P.E lessons like running, I would do my best.. and also I play sports after school, like soccer and basetball..
So Im wondering if all these activities are good enuf, and so should I buy weight gainer or protein?
Sidetrack, Im also very skinny, I'm 1.8m tall but only 52kg..
its thick.....take it slowly lor...be patientOriginally posted by FadeToBlack:Are the wg stuff very hard to drink?
yah, pour the powder in then water SLOWLY...if you pour water too fast or pour the powder ontop of the water then i think u know wat is cement mixer liao....Originally posted by Rockhound:its thick.....take it slowly lor...be patient
weightgainer...go gnc get the banana flavour one...i think there is onli 1 kind of weight gainer in banana flavour....the front got 3000 printed big big.....forgot the brand.....Originally posted by FadeToBlack:wow then which 1 should i take... all looks so nice.. i dont have all the money in the world..
i taking ON's 100% Whey too....good, VERY easy to mix. i use a small cup, put in a scoop of it, also can mix until thorough....tried Designer Whey, 1 scoop in a huge mug dat can hold about 300ml...very hard to mix thoroughly.Originally posted by fabiaN__:Budget wise: Optimum Nutrition 100%.
Or the EAS Myoplex Deluxe is not bad too.
If you don't mind paying the $$, you can try the oh-so-overpriced: Nitro-Tech. Haha..
I took Nitro-Tech when I was younger, weighed 54kg and I really grew, I tell you. Hmmm.. taking the Optimum Nutrition 100% now. It's the one in BLACK hor. Don't go and get the Purple one. Purple one is ProComplex.
Actually also not bad lah. Haha.. tried ProComplex before too.
It depends on what you're looking for. If you wanna bulk up, I suggest you do compound exercises (exercises which trains more than 1 part of your body) like lat-pull downs (biceps+latissimus dorsi), bench press (triceps+anterior delts+pectoralis major) and, deadlifts (lower back+traps+hamstrings+gluteaus maximus), squats (quadriceps+gluteaus maximus) etc.
Always consume the supplement within 30mins after your workout. Hmmm try to take about 2 to 3 servings daily! Heh heh..
Bound to see results, I'm quite sure. By the way, don't forget to train legs leh! Or else upper body like potato, then your lower body like toothpick. Very tiring to run (esp when you've done with bulking and wanna get cut)!!
All the best!
well..it takes time and hard work..Originally posted by FadeToBlack:Ok, what i was thinking was, no matter what i eat i won't gain any weght..
So i was thinking if these products worked to help me gain some weight, if not too skinny not very nice looking..
true...and...to make full use of it, NEVER take the recommended dosage...u end up pissing all the stuff out. instead spread out the usage by 1/3, take 3x daily in small dosage is much better than 1 super dosage a day...cos there is only so much your body can take in at a time, all others is pissed out or sh1tted out.Originally posted by Rockhound:well..it takes time and hard work..
i had a friend take weight gainer for months...nothing happen...
my simple reply to him
u take all this crap...never train...come out piss and shit oni...
me abt 58kg, with 'abnormal' chest and wings....Originally posted by fabiaN__:Oh yeah it's true. Heh heh.. the Pro-Complex got 55 grams of protein with 2 scoops. Hmmm but nevertheless, I think the Optimum Nutrition 100% is still good. I usually mix 1 scoop of it with milk.
But I don't wanna get too built-up. Haha.. I'm afraid I won't have enough time for such stuff when I enter the Uni and/or working world. However, if I can achieve something like Vincent Ng's body, I'll be real contented! Haha!
chunyong: You train often too? Or are you the skinny type? Heh heh..
I'm not very heavy now lah. Last time 54kg lidat.. now around 64kg. Hehe..
nah, skinny fella hereOriginally posted by FadeToBlack:u guys look strong...
