woah... i missed a great lot of musicals in the past coz was too busy working and studying... now i've learnt that i should try to enjoy life as much... afterall, i still have a whole lifetym to work...Originally posted by the Bear:i'm trying to picture MacBeth being done as a musical
i've watched a couple of Mid-Summer Night's Dream...
one was pretty cool.. done in the park where the audience moved from location to location, and the actors who played the faeries also played the humans...
the other was weird.. but amazing.. spartan props, only 3 double-platforms with ropes.. and the actors were acrobats, going up and down the platforms and ropes without even missing a single line!

I dun even know wat is this play about?Originally posted by Kuali Baba:I have to remind you that you should refer to the production as 'The Scottish Play', especially at the theatre on the day itself. Mentioning the name brings very bad luck, and there are records of incidents involving this play.

The spells you read about in the play were real ones used in Shakespeare's time, and the unhappy witches put a curse on it.Originally posted by carpe diem jur:serious?? hmmm... that is something new i never came to know of... even during the period of tym i studied macbeth in sec sch...

One thing puzzles me though: if the play is supposed to be cursed, then why the heck do they perform it in the first place?
Repeat after me: There is NO curse.
