turtle soup.... eeks~!!

snook sia.. that day my schmates said that they craving for turtl soup... i tot they joking, but they really bring mi go eat turtle soup sia~!!! i almost puke (although i havent taken lunch) and lose all appetite... damnit... how can they bear to eat such a little cutie sweet animal??? feel like crying when ppl eats those exotic food.... turtles, snakes, deer, crocodile....
haiz... anyone here drinks turtle soup or tried before any other exotic food??!!

The turtle head will shrink back so the person use a hook and pull the head out. Then Chop! it off.. ARG!!! Its terrible! There's a number of things I try to avoid eating cause its just too gross. -
I have tried snake when i was in army...tender..machiam like chicken...

turtle dun run around! chickens do.. i saw before.. very very scary~ it run around headless spurting blood all over the plac before dropping dead. :S

anyway fried bat meat is nice! i eat before..

Actually the way the animals are killed for consumption is very cruel. But I know I cannot become a vegan leh...

There was a time when Te4 Xie3 did a program on how the meats arrive at our tables and it showed the slaughter house. The cows/pigs were all crying when they were pulled into the place. Then gated up and a pipe comes down and placed on its forehead. Then BANG! the animal collaspe and blood running out from its forehead. The limbs struggling ... It was such a sad show. My mom from there try to eat les meats... -

I try not to waste food loh.. I will also know that an animal sacrifice its life so that I get to live...

These "turtles" in the turtle soup are not those turtles you see in zoo or those that lay eggs on the beach for goodness sake.
The meat in the "turtle soup" are from Terapin, fresh water tortoise farmed for food.
If you are disgusted by how these terapins are killed, wait till you hear about the pig, chicken, cows, sheep, lamb, ducks, frogs.
pigs - slaughtered with butcher knife, sometimes electricuted
chicken and ducks - a slash on the throat, quick and easy.
cows - butchered.
sheep and lamb - slash on throat.
frogs - one hit on the haead, one chopping across belly.
