true.. lav ger, u see, sometyms having a formal education training can cause people to get hung up on wat is 'good' and 'bad'.... it can be good to have a more formal training in some specialized skills, providing that u use ur education knowledge as a TOOL, not a RULE...
"street qualifications" come from working with great people and seeing how they handle things...but there are situations where at least some formal knowledge, if not qualifications, would come in very handy....
it might be ur education that enables u to do a better job and that will ultimately be useful to u.... but since most people, including those who've actually worked with u, haf no idea wat u do or how u do it, u will be judged by ur RESULTS (for results read - how well u performed during work and wat u've done for the company) and a whole host of other superficial factors....
we live in an increasing complex world... Knowing how to build, repair and tune a car will not necessarily make u a world champion racing car driver.... however if u haf the potential to be a world champion driver and u tek time to understand the inner workings of the vehicle, i'm sure u'll be alot more help to the support team that does build, maintain and optimise the vehicle.... likewise, in watever industry, the one who has an in-depth knowledge is likely to be able to identify and eliminate both creative and problems more quickly.... go for ur interest and choose a career u'd like to focus on~!!!
