Talking abt architecture.. actually my dream is to be an architect.. since sec sch i have had the ambition of being one.. but is nothing more den a dream.. the profession isnt viable in sg.. haiz.. so going for second best.. business..

U know the HDB project the Pinnacles@Duxton? It was awarded to a small local architectural firm.. the founder admitted tt it's hard to compete to many big foreign firms.. n not forgetting many local firms..
Plus.. the architects listen to clients.. not clients listen to architects' expertise n recommendations in sg.. in Western countries.. architects have greater freedom n flexibility to express their creativity n craft.. where's the satisfaction when u r doing sth not out of ur own creativity.. nothing new.. nothing call ur own..
Not many local architects have the luck to be be expose to the outside market.. many juz end up in sg as draughtsmen.. no better den contractors w/o the yellow boots..
Haiz.. maybe one day.. after i've carved a successful corporate career for myself.. i'll study architecture as a hobby n design my own dream pad..
For now.. dreams have to take a back sit.. i have to face reality.. -
